The 2026 season runs from 14 September to 18 December. Participants choose two to six weeks, with four weeks recommended, and work at least 35 hours weekly. Work includes visual and acoustic surveys, capture-mark-recapture, animal handling and measurements, turtle telemetry, habitat monitoring, GPS navigation, protocol development and a short report. The programme fee is USD 289 per week and includes room and board, lab access and training.
Eligibility requirements
No formal prior experience is required. Applicants should be able to work independently and in a team, be interested in tropical herpetofauna and field-survey methods, and be motivated to build biology or ecology field skills.
