Overview
TÜBİTAK’s 1002-A Rapid Support Module accepts applications year-round for short-duration, small-budget research needs at universities, research hospitals and research institutes, including eligible doctoral-thesis research.

Projects may run for up to 12 months. As of 1 February 2026, the published support ceiling is TRY 150,000 per year including scholarships. The module does not pay project incentive payments to project leaders, researchers or advisers. TÜBİTAK states that applications can be submitted throughout the year.
Eligibility requirements
Eligible project leaders include qualifying full-time university or education-and-research-hospital staff with a doctorate or equivalent degree, qualifying research-institute staff, and doctoral or equivalent specialty/proficiency students who have passed the relevant qualifying stage and reached the thesis phase for an accepted dissertation. Applicants must reside in Türkiye and meet the program’s current institutional and project rules.
