Overview
TÜBİTAK’s 1005 program accepts applications year-round for applied research and experimental-development projects aimed at new products, processes, methods or models that reduce technological dependence or improve national competitiveness.

Projects may run for up to 18 months. As of 1 February 2026, the published support ceiling is TRY 1,200,000 including scholarships but excluding project incentive payments and institutional overhead. The official page lists example themes across technology, agriculture, health and practical basic-science applications while stating that qualifying topics are not limited to those examples.
Eligibility requirements
Project leaders must generally have at least a four-year university degree, be permanent/full-time staff of the proposed higher-education institution, public body or private organization, and reside in Türkiye. TÜBİTAK provides stated exceptions to the full-time condition for retirees and postdoctoral researchers not employed by an institution, subject to the current program rules.
