Overview
TÜBİTAK’s year-round 3501 Career Development Program supports early-career doctorate holders in Türkiye with research-project funding intended to strengthen their development as researchers and educators.

Applications are accepted throughout the year. Projects may run for up to 36 months. As of 1 February 2026, the published project-support ceiling is TRY 1,500,000 without an annual budget cap, including scholarships but excluding project incentive payments and institutional overhead. Current scholarship ceilings for undergraduate, master’s, doctoral and postdoctoral project participants are also published by TÜBİTAK.
Eligibility requirements
The project leader must generally hold a doctorate or equivalent degree, meet the current seven-year post-degree window, hold associate-professor rank or below, not have previously received 3501 support, reside in Türkiye and satisfy the relevant institutional employment rules. TÜBİTAK provides a stated employment exception for postdoctoral researchers not currently employed by an institution, subject to the program rules.
