FRQ and Tunisia's MESRS have opened a bilateral three-year R&D call supporting Tunisia–Québec teams working on advanced digital technologies for inclusive, sustainable and intelligent development.

The priority theme covers advanced digital technologies and innovative applications across areas including engineering, computing, health, environment, education, aerospace/Earth observation, 5G/6G and IoT, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, big data, sustainable resource management and environmental resilience. Funding is stated as CAD 45,000 per year per project on the Québec side and TND 100,000 per year per project on the Tunisia side for three years. The launch announcement states total programme envelopes of CAD 675,000 from FRQ and TND 1,350,000 from MESRS. A mandatory pre-application precedes the full application.
Eligibility requirements
Each Tunisia–Québec team must include at least one Québec member and one Tunisian member. Tunisian participants must belong to research teams or laboratories under public universities, research centres, or public higher-education/research institutions; the Tunisian principal investigator must be a Professor of Higher Education or Maître de Conférences. Québec principal investigators must meet the FRQ common rules and one of the stated eligible university-researcher statuses.
