Internal research grants of up to CAD 20,000 per project for mental-health research led by eligible UBC Psychiatry or BC Children's Hospital investigators.

Four streams support clinician research, junior academics, child and youth mental health, and schizophrenia research. Projects may run for up to 24 months. Eligible costs include research personnel, essential lab or neuroimaging costs, necessary equipment or software, participant reimbursement, project-critical training or travel, and limited open-access publishing.
Eligibility requirements
Each application must have one principal applicant and one co-applicant. Stream-specific principal-applicant criteria apply; the co-applicant must be UBC Psychiatry academic faculty at Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. The proposed project cannot have other funding available or pending, and the same application cannot be submitted to more than one stream.
