IKMAS at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia is offering three short-term mentored postdoctoral fellowships for ASEAN citizens or residents researching human security, development and peace.

Three fellows will undertake a one-month in-person residential fellowship at IKMAS in November or December 2026, present a working paper at the IKMAS colloquium in December, and produce a Scopus/WoS-indexed article or IKMAS working paper within one year. The programme supports interdisciplinary research that uses Malaysia and regional human-security issues as a substantive research setting.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be citizens of an ASEAN country or residents in an ASEAN country, have completed a PhD within the last five years, be no more than 45 years old at application, possess a relevant working-draft manuscript, and demonstrate research potential aligned with human security, development and peace.
