Overview
NERC is offering £300,000 to £1 million per award to renew, replace or enhance existing environmental-science research infrastructure in the UK. The total fund is £8 million and NERC funds 100% of full economic cost.

The opportunity supports targeted capital investment in existing environmental-science facilities, laboratories, platforms and other capabilities that are demonstrably available to the wider research community. Projects can last three to 12 months and must demonstrate readiness to deliver within the programme timetable.
Eligibility requirements
Applications must be submitted by an organisation eligible for UKRI funding and on behalf of the infrastructure, facility, platform or capability receiving the investment. Each individual at an eligible organisation may submit one application as project lead and one as project co-lead.
