Underwriter II, USDA Generalist

This role is responsible for evaluating and underwriting a broad range of lending opportunities while maintaining sound credit risk and appropriate risk-return outcomes. You’ll manage transactions from initial review and due diligence through approval, funding, and closing. The position combines detailed financial analysis with direct collaboration across business development and client-facing teams. You’ll assess borrower financials, cash flow, collateral, credit information, and overall business performance to support informed lending decisions. You’ll also help clients understand requirements, facilitate smooth closings, and transition completed relationships effectively. As an experienced underwriting professional, you’ll have opportunities to mentor analysts and less experienced colleagues while contributing your credit expertise.
