UNICEF Angola is recruiting a NO-3 WASH Specialist in Luanda for strategic and technical leadership of climate-resilient and humanitarian WASH programming.
Full job description
The specialist will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight, supervise and support team delivery, develop programmes and resource-mobilization approaches, oversee implementation and monitoring, advance climate-resilient and risk-informed WASH, support emergency preparedness and anticipatory action, strengthen the humanitarian-development nexus, and build partnerships and knowledge.
Requirements & qualifications
Applicants need an advanced university degree in public health, social or behavioral science, engineering, climate or environmental fields, international development or a related discipline and at least five years of relevant WASH experience in developing-country contexts. People-supervision experience is required. UNICEF also specifies at least one year of deployment in a developing country and at least one humanitarian deployment of three months or more. Fluency in English and Portuguese is required.
