UNICEF is recruiting a Nutrition Officer at NO-2 level in Kano to support high-impact nutrition interventions, food-system work, programme management, grant tracking, monitoring and partnerships.
Full job description
The temporary appointment supports nutrition programme development, planning and implementation, technical coordination, monitoring and quality assurance, advocacy, partnerships, resource mobilization, knowledge management and capacity building. The role also supports UNICEF's Nutrition SBC Strategy and food-system interventions intended to improve dietary diversity, care practices and child nutrition outcomes.
Requirements & qualifications
Applicants need a first-level university degree in food science and technology, nutrition, food systems, public health, nutritional epidemiology, global or international health and nutrition, health or nutrition research, policy or management, health sciences or another relevant field. UNICEF requires at least two years of relevant professional experience in health and nutrition programmes, experience implementing nutrition or food-system strengthening programmes, and fluency in English. Grants management, emergency preparedness, policy and advocacy, and partnership development are required skills.
