Overview

Djibouti government officials working on migration or asylum can apply by 4 October 2026 for two full-time online MMPAF courses in November and December.

Complete training program details

MMPAF offers two tutor-led online courses: Irregular Migration from 23–27 November 2026 and Migration & Development from 30 November–4 December 2026. Each course is a full-time one-week programme requiring about 40 hours, combining lectures, interactive sessions and practical problem-based learning. The programme is funded by the European Union through the Migration Partnership Facility of ICMPD.

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must be fluent in English, hold at least a Bachelor's degree, have a valid passport or ID, have sufficient computer skills, work as a government official in migration and/or asylum in an eligible country including Djibouti, and provide written employer support releasing them from work duties for the programme.

Tips for this training program

Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.

  1. Confirm learning outcomes, prerequisites, delivery schedule, assessment requirements and certificate conditions.
  2. Check whether the training is free, funded, reimbursed or requires a fee and whether attendance is mandatory for completion.
  3. Verify that the provider and certificate are relevant to your intended academic or professional use.

Verification notes

UNU-MERIT explicitly lists Djibouti among eligible Sub-Saharan African countries, gives a 4 October 2026 23:59 CEST deadline, and links to an active nine-part application form. The page states EU/MPF funding but does not explicitly publish a participant fee, so no fee is inferred.
