Uppsala University's Department of Information Technology is recruiting up to two lecturers to teach programming, software development and related programming technologies in permanent full-time appointments.
Full job description
The positions combine teaching, course responsibility, course administration and possible education-related management and undergraduate supervision. Particular weight is placed on teaching expertise in programming technologies including programming languages, software engineering and software design; relevant industrial experience is also valued. The appointments are open-ended, may begin with a probationary period, are full time, and are planned to start 1 January 2027 or as agreed. Two positions are advertised.
Requirements & qualifications
Applicants need a higher-education degree with subject specialization in computer science, information technology or a closely related field, relevant teaching expertise, documented ability to teach in Swedish or English, and documented programming experience from higher education or industry. Relevant higher-education teacher training is required, although the posting allows completion during the first year in special circumstances.
