This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vertical Video Supervising Producer based in United States. This is a leadership role at the intersection of journalism, digital storytelling, and audience engagement. You will co-lead a vertical video team producing timely, news-driven content for fast-moving social platforms. The role combines editorial judgment with hands-on production, from story development and scripting through filming, editing, and publishing. You will manage producers, editors, and creators while maintaining high standards for accuracy, relevance, and storytelling. You’ll work closely with senior editorial and audience leaders to identify emerging stories and shape compelling narratives. The ideal candidate thrives under tight deadlines, understands the digital news landscape, and knows how to turn current events into impactful short-form video.

Co-lead the vertical video team, working with editorial and audience leadership to plan and execute timely, news-driven content. Manage producers, creator leads, and editors, supporting professional development while ensuring editorial standards, production quality, and publication deadlines are consistently met. Guide creator-driven content by providing editorial and production feedback and ensuring stories demonstrate substantive, timely reporting. Partner with the other Vertical Supervising Producer to coordinate priorities, workflows, staffing, and team performance as one cohesive unit. Collaborate with senior editorial leaders to assign stories, evaluate pitches, and shape narratives alongside producers and creator leads. Oversee the complete video production process, including story concepts, shoots, visual approaches, outlines, interview questions, shot lists, scripts, edits, and final delivery. Maintain accurate publishing schedules, monitor project progress, and ensure production and publishing targets are achieved. Coordinate with social media teams on distribution and engagement strategies, including captions, copy, and on-screen titles. Recruit and coordinate freelance producers and editors when additional production support is required, ensuring contracts and deliverables are completed on schedule. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high editorial and production standards in a fast-paced, nimble environment. Requirements At least 5 years of experience in advocacy, journalism, news, or related video communications roles. At least 2 years of people-management or team leadership experience. Demonstrated experience scripting, producing, and editing news-driven or editorial video content. Strong understanding of issues affecting working-class communities, economic justice advocacy, and the evolving digital media landscape. Strong editorial judgment and the ability to identify emerging stories, respond quickly to the news cycle, and develop distinctive perspectives on trending topics. Experience with digital content creation, Adobe Creative Cloud, social media platforms, and relevant analytics tools. Familiarity with social media management, editorial calendars, and content management systems. Ability to use audience and content analytics to inform editorial and production decisions. Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and project management skills. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. Passion for creating compelling media narratives that inform and empower working-class audiences. Benefits Salary range of $115,000 per year . Fully remote position within the United States.
