We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Zetland Vets on a full-time permanent basis.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

We are looking for two new team members to work 40 hours per week, covering a mix of shifts between 8am-8pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 8.30am-5pm on a 1:4 rota.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and their pets in a professional and friendly manner

• Managing front-of-house

• Dispensing medications

• Booking appointments

• Getting paperwork ready in advance for the Vets

• Attending training events to maintain knowledge and awareness required for this role

• Keeping waiting areas, consulting rooms and offices stocked and clean

• Entering information onto patient record systems accurately and in a timely manner

• Assisting the vets and nurses as and when required

• Registering new clients and explaining our services and offers

• Taking payments and processing daily banking

• Some sole charge

• Any other administrative tasks
