Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal Kingston Vets - Yeovil, Somerset Salary up to £65,000 FTE DOE plus relocation allowance up to £3,000 and welcome bonus up to £5,000
At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.
For over 100 years, Kingston Vets, part of ivc, has been caring for pets and supporting the local community, earning a reputation for exceptional patient care and trusted client relationships. As our practice continues to grow, we're looking for a part-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly, experienced and progressive team. If you're looking for a role where you'll be valued, supported and encouraged to develop, we'd love to hear from you.
A Varied Caseload with True Case Continuity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who enjoys the diversity of first-opinion practice and takes pride in seeing cases through from start to finish. You'll work with a varied small animal caseload including cats, dogs, rabbits and small furries, enjoying an excellent balance of consultations and surgery. Alongside routine procedures, you'll gain exposure to orthopaedics, dentistry, splenectomies and a wide range of more advanced medical and surgical cases, giving you the opportunity to broaden your clinical skills while delivering outstanding patient care.
Modern Facilities, Outstanding Support
Working across our two purpose-built practices in Sherborne and Yeovil, you'll have access to excellent facilities including digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment and separate cat and dog wards with dedicated isolation facilities. We're also proud to hold Silver ISFM Cat Friendly accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to providing the very best care for our feline patients.
Join a Team That Loves What They Do
You'll become part of a welcoming and collaborative team of six Veterinary Surgeons, six Registered Veterinary Nurses, two Student Veterinary Nurses and a dedicated Client Care Team. Supported by a visiting orthopaedic specialist, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues, share ideas and continue developing your clinical interests in a practice where teamwork and learning are part of everyday life.
Flexibility to Suit Your Lifestyle
This part-time role is worked across two days per week, from 8:30am to 6:30pm, with just 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:30am–12:30pm). With no out-of-hours or on-call commitments.
Discover Life in Yeovil
Nestled in Somerset, Yeovil offers the perfect balance of market-town charm and easy access to some of the South West's most beautiful countryside and coastline. You'll be within easy reach of the Jurassic Coast, the rolling hills of Dorset and the picturesque towns of Sherborne and Glastonbury.
