This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President, Sales – Investments based in Canada. As Vice President, Sales, you will develop and execute commercial strategies designed to expand investment solutions across advisor distribution networks. You will work directly with advisors to promote a broad range of investment products and deliver solution-oriented sales approaches. The role combines business development, strategic relationship management, sales leadership, and deep financial services expertise. You will contribute to ambitious sales and production targets while identifying new opportunities to grow advisor relationships and business activity. Your work will involve close collaboration with internal specialists, sales partners, and cross-functional teams across the organization. This is a fully remote opportunity offering significant autonomy, with regular engagement with advisors and partners across Canada. The position is well suited to an experienced investment sales professional who wants to make a direct impact on business growth and advisor relationships.
Develop and execute sales strategies designed to expand investment activities across advisor distribution networks. Achieve annual sales, production, and business development targets. Build new relationships with advisors while strengthening existing partnerships to identify additional business opportunities. Introduce new ideas, strategies, and investment solutions to advisors to help grow their businesses. Promote a broad range of investment products using a consultative, solutions-focused sales approach. Organize and deliver seminars for advisors and investors. Collaborate with internal specialists and sales coordination teams to generate new subscriptions and business opportunities. Build effective professional relationships with sales partners, investment representatives, professional services teams, and other internal stakeholders. Meet regularly with advisors in the assigned territory and maintain accurate records of daily activities in the applicable customer relationship management system. Develop and share best practices, sales strategies, marketing ideas, and business development initiatives with colleagues and advisors. Continuously identify opportunities to improve sales processes, strengthen relationships, and drive business growth. Requirements: At least 5 years of professional experience in investment sales, with strong knowledge of the financial services industry and capital markets. Active experience selling investment products through at least one of the following channels: investment dealer networks, dealer networks, or banking networks. Strong knowledge of mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and segregated funds. Successful completion of the IFIC Mutual Funds Course or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC). Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship development through to business conversion and ongoing account management. Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, listening, and relationship-building skills. Ability to make sound decisions, plan activities effectively, and manage multiple priorities. Strong conflict-resolution and facilitation skills, with confidence presenting to both small and large audiences. Ambitious, highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented. Strong computer and technology skills. Creative mindset with the ability to develop new approaches to sales, marketing, and business development. Fully bilingual in English and French, as the successful candidate will communicate with clients and partners across multiple Canadian provinces. Benefits: Permanent, full-time position.
