WHO is recruiting a full-time international Data Analyst consultant in Bangui for up to 12 months to strengthen the management, analysis, quality and strategic use of immunization data in the Central African Republic.

Full job description

The assignment covers data collection, cleaning, consolidation and analysis; vaccination performance and equity monitoring; geospatial analysis; data-quality assessments; dashboards and periodic analytical reports; performance reviews and corrective-action follow-up; and capacity building on evidence-based use of health data. WHO states that the consultant will be recruited at P3 on its international consultant fee scale, but the vacancy does not publish a numeric remuneration amount.

Requirements & qualifications

A first university degree/licence in statistics, biostatistics, data science, epidemiology, public health, business intelligence, applied mathematics or health information systems is required. Applicants need at least five years of experience in data analysis, quality review and action-plan monitoring, including epidemiological or other health databases and national health information systems such as DHIS2. WHO lists advanced Excel, Power BI or Tableau, SQL, at least one statistical package such as R, STATA, SPSS or Python, and GIS skills among the technical competencies. French is required; practical English is desirable.
