WHO is seeking a full-time international consultant in Bangui for a six-month assignment supporting logistics, procurement and contracting operations for the Central African Republic country office.

Full job description

The consultant will advise the country office on purchasing transactions, coordinate procurement plans, review technical-unit requests for compliance, manage procurement resources and supplier records, monitor procurement/logistics/contract-service activity in WHO's ERP environment, support ordering and delivery, liaise on customs and tax-clearance processes, monitor suppliers, and provide purchasing and logistics guidance to staff.

Requirements & qualifications

A recognised bachelor's/licence degree in logistics management, logistics, public administration or business management is required. WHO asks for at least two years of national and international experience managing emergency logistics and procurement operations, including support to humanitarian emergency operations. Prior WHO/UN, health-cluster or recognised international humanitarian-organisation experience and import/customs knowledge are desirable. Excellent French and practical English are required.
