Workday SCM Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Workday SCM Architect based in India. This role offers the opportunity to lead the architecture, implementation, and optimization of Workday Supply Chain Management solutions in a complex enterprise environment. You will shape scalable solutions across Procurement, Supplier Management, Inventory, Expenses, and related Workday Financials processes. The position combines hands-on Workday expertise with enterprise architecture, integration leadership, and strategic stakeholder engagement. You will translate complex business requirements into efficient, secure, and sustainable functional and technical solutions. Working closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and business leaders, you will influence processes that support critical business operations. The role also provides an opportunity to mentor consultants, contribute to large-scale transformations, and drive continuous improvement across the Workday ecosystem.

Lead the overall Workday SCM solution architecture across Procurement, Supplier Management, Inventory, Supplier Accounts, Expenses, and related Financials processes. Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday functional and technical solutions. Define end-to-end architecture for Procure-to-Pay, Supplier Lifecycle Management, Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, and Accounts Payable processes. Establish configuration standards, design principles, security considerations, governance practices, and opportunities for process simplification and automation. Provide expert guidance on Workday Procurement, Supplier Management, Supplier Accounts, Inventory, Expenses, business processes, approval workflows, condition rules, validations, and security. Lead the design of supplier onboarding, qualification, purchasing, receiving, invoice-related processes, and complex approval workflows. Design and oversee integrations between Workday SCM and third-party applications, ERP systems, suppliers, banks, procurement platforms, and other enterprise systems. Collaborate with integration teams on Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs, and other integration technologies, defining data flows, interface specifications, error handling, and reconciliation processes. Lead or provide architectural oversight throughout full-lifecycle implementations, including discovery, requirements, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, cutover, go-live, and post-production support. Provide technical and functional leadership during SIT, UAT, parallel testing, release management, regression testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and executive stakeholders through architecture workshops, process mapping, demonstrations, and solution design discussions. Present solution options, trade-offs, dependencies, and risks while acting as a subject matter expert and mentoring Workday SCM consultants and analysts. Ensure solutions align with procurement policies, internal controls, security requirements, and audit standards, while identifying optimization and automation opportunities. Requirements 8+ years of experience in Workday, ERP, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related enterprise applications, including significant hands-on Workday SCM experience. Strong expertise in Workday Procurement and Supply Chain Management, with deep knowledge of Procure-to-Pay, Supplier Management, Supplier Lifecycle, Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, Supplier Accounts, Expenses, and Accounts Payable. Strong experience designing and configuring Workday business processes, approval workflows, condition rules, validations, and security, including domain and business process security. Proven experience leading one or more full-lifecycle Workday implementations. Strong understanding of Workday integration architecture, including EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs, and third-party integrations. Strong knowledge of Workday reporting, data architecture, calculated fields, custom reports, dashboards, and data analysis. Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical and functional architecture and lead complex solution design discussions. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, leadership, and presentation skills. Workday SCM and/or Financials certification is preferred. Experience with Workday Financials, particularly General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounting, is an advantage. Experience integrating Workday with external ERP, procurement, supplier, inventory, or financial systems is preferred. Experience with global implementations involving multiple entities, currencies, countries, and regulatory requirements is valuable. Experience with Workday Extend, post-production optimization, transformation programs, or large-scale enhancement initiatives is a plus. Experience working directly with enterprise clients and executive stakeholders is desirable. Benefits Full-time opportunity based in Kondapur, Hyderabad, India.
