Workdays Financials - Implementation Oversight

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Workday Financials - Implementation Oversight based in United States. This role supports state government organizations through complex Workday Financials implementation and oversight initiatives. You will bring functional, technical, and project management expertise to quality assurance, IV&V, independent assessments, and related consulting engagements. The position offers the opportunity to evaluate implementation deliverables, identify risks, and provide practical recommendations to client leadership. You will work directly with stakeholders at multiple levels, translating complex project information into clear status updates and actionable insights. The environment is collaborative and consulting-focused, with opportunities to contribute to business process improvement, testing, and technology planning. You will also help strengthen team capabilities through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing. The role is remote, with client-site travel of up to 50% annually, although the immediately planned engagement is expected to require approximately 15% travel.

Lead and support consulting engagements for state government clients, including quality assurance, Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), project management, IT systems planning, business process analysis and improvement, independent testing, and related services. Provide Workday Financials implementation expertise across functional, technical, and project oversight activities. Review project artifacts such as vendor deliverables, project management plans, tracking logs, and other implementation documentation, providing constructive feedback and identifying potential risks. Monitor and communicate project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and recommendations through clear written and verbal reporting to audiences ranging from project teams to executive leadership. Facilitate client meetings, workshops, and stakeholder interviews with confidence, professionalism, and a strong focus on productive outcomes. Assess implementation progress and help clients maintain quality, accountability, and alignment with project objectives. Contribute to project planning, analysis, testing, process improvement, and other activities required to support successful ERP implementations. Help develop team members and contribute to a positive, innovative consulting culture through mentoring, training, knowledge sharing, and learning initiatives. Requirements At least 5 years of direct experience in quality assurance, Independent Verification and Validation, audit, or another independent assurance function supporting large ERP implementations. Experience with public-sector ERP implementations is preferred. Demonstrated Workday Financials implementation experience, including exposure to configuration, architecture, platform integrations, data migration, and release or environment management. Ability to assess complex implementation information from functional, technical, and project management perspectives. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and communicate practical recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level project reporting and facilitate stakeholder discussions. Strong client-service orientation and the ability to build productive relationships with government stakeholders and project teams. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary consulting teams. Willingness and ability to travel to client locations as required, potentially up to 50% annually. Benefits Annual compensation range of $90,000–$130,000 , with final compensation determined based on experience, education, seniority, travel requirements, skills, and other relevant factors.
