Overview
The Yenching Academy is accepting applications for its 2027 cohort from international candidates and candidates from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan for its interdisciplinary Master's program in China Studies at Peking University.
Complete fellowship details
All admitted Yenching Scholars receive a fellowship for the first academic year covering tuition, accommodation, a monthly stipend, one round-trip travel fare and field-study costs. The program is a two-year Master's in China Studies; second-year fellowship support is subject to the Academy's stated conditions. Partner-university students and alumni must complete their home university's internal pre-selection process before submitting to Yenching Academy.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants should hold at least a Bachelor's degree in any field, or be on track to receive it by August of the intended enrollment year, and should demonstrate a strong academic record, interest in interdisciplinary China studies, extracurricular achievement, community engagement, social responsibility, leadership potential and English proficiency. International applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport. HMT applicants have additional Peking University application requirements.
