Young Canada Works at Building Careers in Heritage is a Government of Canada internship program for eligible college and university graduates seeking career-oriented experience in heritage, arts and cultural organizations in Canada or through international museology placements.

Domestic internships generally last 4 to 12 consecutive months and may be full-time or part-time. International museology internships last at least six consecutive months and are full-time. Individuals create a Young Canada Works account, submit a candidate profile, browse funded positions and express interest in individual jobs. Employers approved for program funding make the hiring decisions.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons with refugee status in Canada; be legally entitled to work in Canada with a valid Social Insurance Number; be 16 to 30 years old inclusive at the start of employment; and be a college or university graduate. The official page notes priority for graduates who have not previously participated in a YCW internship and who are unemployed or underemployed.
