The Young Researchers’ Grant supports young people in Malta to investigate a real scientific question through an individual or small-team STEAM research project.

Eligible projects can receive up to €700 in project funding, with a separate mentor/researcher payment of up to €1,000. Projects can run for up to 12 months and include training and mentoring support.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be 13–21 years old at submission and be Maltese citizens or hold a Malta residence permit or equivalent Maltese citizenship documentation. Applications may be individual or teams of up to three in the same age group, and projects must have a genuine STEAM research basis and not already be funded beyond the permitted limit.
