Zoom Phone Porting Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Zoom Phone Porting Specialist based in India. This role is central to global number porting operations, with a primary focus on EMEA and support for India-specific number workflows. You will manage standard and complex porting requests while coordinating with customers, carriers, and internal technical teams. The position combines telecommunications expertise, operational precision, compliance, and customer-focused problem solving. You will troubleshoot complex porting issues and act as an escalation point for technical and customer concerns. The role also provides opportunities to improve porting processes, increase operational efficiency, and strengthen the customer experience. You will work within a collaborative international environment alongside carrier partners, service engineering, customer success, and account teams. The position requires coverage aligned with UK business hours to support EMEA operations.

Manage standard and complex number porting requests across the EMEA region, coordinating with customers, customer success managers, and account executives to ensure accurate and timely completion. Support India-specific number processes, including KYC/KYB documentation, number allocation, and compliance with local requirements. Coordinate end-to-end number transfers with global carrier partners and internal cross-functional teams. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve porting fallout and technical numbering issues, partnering with service engineering and technical support when required. Act as an escalation point for customer and internal porting concerns, driving issues toward timely resolution while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Identify opportunities to streamline porting workflows and contribute to initiatives that improve operational efficiency and customer experience. Train new porting specialists and help internal teams understand porting processes, requirements, and appropriate customer expectations. Maintain accurate documentation and communication throughout the porting lifecycle. Work within UK business hours to provide consistent EMEA coverage, with flexibility as operational requirements evolve. Requirements 6+ years of professional experience in number porting within the UK or EMEA region. Strong knowledge of Local Number Portability (LNP) processes, carrier systems, and compliance verification. Working knowledge of VoIP, unified communications platforms, and telecommunications systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM or ticketing platforms such as Salesforce, Zendesk, ServiceNow, or equivalent tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and customer-oriented approach. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional teams and external carrier partners. Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality customer support within technical support, telecommunications, or porting operations environments.
