Overview of the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Player-Coach Sales Leader – India to empower businesses to shape the future of work through the power of AI, Data, and Cloud.

This role is about being a builder. You will initially operate as an individual contributor, focused on building a strong sales organization and driving growth in the India market. As you demonstrate success, you will begin building and managing a sales team, progressing into a first-level sales leadership role responsible for the India market. The team will scale in line with business growth and closed revenue.

As a true Player-Coach, this dynamic leader will focus primarily on direct selling and revenue generation while simultaneously driving regional growth strategy through hiring, developing, and mentoring a high-performing sales team. Responsibilities: Sales Execution (The "Player")

Apply a hunter mindset to business development and continuous prospecting to consistently achieve net-new business pipeline targets.

Leverage customer relationships, professional networks, industry forums, and other channels to build a strong pipeline of opportunities with Fortune 1000 and other enterprise customers.

Use a consultative, AI-first solution-selling approach to translate customers’ critical business and technology challenges into profitable cloud and professional services opportunities.

Develop and execute predictable closing plans while engaging with executive-level stakeholders to negotiate and close professional services agreements.

Manage multiple accounts concurrently and strategically, while building and expanding existing customer relationships to generate net-new revenue opportunities.

Own and drive complex sales cycles end-to-end, from prospecting and discovery through solution design, negotiation, and successful closure.

Build strong relationships with business and technology leaders, positioning 66degrees as a strategic partner for AI, Data, and Cloud transformation.

Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy (The "Coach")

Develop and execute a comprehensive India sales strategy aligned with 66degrees’ overall business objectives and channel partnership goals.

Recruit, onboard, develop, and ramp a high-performing team of sales professionals specializing in complex technology and cloud solutions.

Provide expert coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback to elevate individual and team performance, particularly in navigating multi-stakeholder deals and long sales cycles.

Provide hands-on support and strategic guidance on key opportunities, helping the team navigate complex organizational structures and decision-making processes within large enterprises.

Establish a strong sales culture focused on accountability, customer value, collaboration, and consistent revenue growth.

Leverage Salesforce and other sales enablement tools to manage the regional pipeline, track performance, forecast revenue, and report on key sales metrics.

Partner closely with leadership, delivery, alliances, and other cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives in India.

Qualifications & Experience

At least 3 years of proven experience specifically setting up, leading, and successfully growing a sales team within the Indian market.

5+ years of quota-carrying cloud services or professional services sales experience, with a demonstrated track record of carrying and exceeding a seven-figure quota.

8–12 years of progressive experience in B2B technology sales, managing complex, enterprise-level sales cycles with strong relationships and networks within GCCs.

Proven experience managing the complete sales cycle, from engaging business champions to influencing and closing executive-level decision makers.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with GCP experience strongly preferred.

Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities, with a passion for developing and empowering high-performing sales talent.

Strong understanding of enterprise technology sales, cloud transformation, AI, data, and professional services.

Proficiency with CRM platforms, with Salesforce highly preferred, along with experience using sales analytics and enablement tools.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and an MBA, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
