We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at New Malden Vets on a full-time basis.

New Malden Vets are a vibrant, community-focused practice with excellent transport links to Wimbledon, Kingston upon Thames, Central London and even the coast, making us perfectly placed for both city life and weekend escapes. Our modern, well-equipped clinic features advanced diagnostic technology, including multiparameter monitors, digital X-ray and dental X-ray, enabling us to provide the highest standard of care.

Our team is made up of 2 Clinical Directors, 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Animal Care Assistant and 6 fantastic Receptionists. We take pride in fostering a warm, inclusive and genuinely supportive workplace where everyone feels like part of the family.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• 40 hours per week
• Rotating shifts including 8:00am-3:00pm, 8:00am-6:00pm, 12:00pm-8:00pm and 11:00am-6:00pm
• 1 in 5 Saturday rota, working 8:00am-2:00pm
• A day off following your weekend shift

General Responsibilities

• Inpatient care
• Anaesthetic monitoring
• Stage 1 dentals
• Diagnostic imaging

With the support of our exceptional reception team, you’ll spend minimal time on administrative tasks, allowing you to focus on what you do best: delivering outstanding care to our patients.

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You’ll bring:

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
• Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement
