Full Job Description

Scopely is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our Star Trek™ Fleet Command team, helping shape how one of mobile gaming's deepest, most enduring, and most community-driven live-service experiences is understood, experienced, and adopted by millions of players worldwide.

This role sits at the intersection of Product, Live Operations, Marketing, Community, Campaigns, and Player Experience. You will partner closely with Product teams to translate complex systems, features, and roadmap initiatives into compelling player value, ensuring every launch delivers a clear narrative, coordinated execution, and an exceptional player experience.

Product Marketing serves as the connective tissue across the player-facing organization. While Product defines what we build, Community builds trust, Campaign Marketing activates audiences, and Player Experience supports players, Product Marketing ensures every team is aligned around a shared strategy, consistent messaging, and a coordinated go-to-market plan.

Success in this role requires equal parts strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You'll develop positioning, own go-to-market strategy, create messaging frameworks, build launch materials, guide creative development, and coordinate cross-functional teams to bring new features, seasonal content, technical improvements, and major Star Trek moments to life.

What You’ll Do:

Own the Player-Facing Narrative

• Own the player-facing narrative for Star Trek Fleet Command, translating product strategy into clear, compelling experiences that help players understand not just what we're building, but why it matters

• Champion the player perspective throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring features, systems, and content are positioned in ways that resonate with our diverse player base

• Establish messaging frameworks that create consistency across every player-facing touchpoint, from launch campaigns and CRM to roadmap communications and in-game messaging

Translate Product Strategy into Player Value

• Partner with Product, Design, Economy, Live Operations, Analytics, and Creative teams throughout feature development

• Translate complex gameplay systems, progression mechanics, monetization initiatives, technical improvements, and roadmap priorities into compelling player-facing narratives

• Develop positioning, messaging, and value propositions for new features, seasonal content, technical improvements, and franchise initiatives

• Ensure every major release tells a clear story that connects product innovation with meaningful player outcomes

Lead Go-to-Market Strategy

• Own integrated go-to-market strategies for major game features, seasonal arcs, technical improvements, and franchise partnerships

• Build launch plans that align messaging, timing, audiences, business objectives, and player education across every player-facing channel

• Define player segmentation and messaging strategies that support players throughout their lifecycle and progression journey

• Establish launch objectives and success criteria in partnership with Product, Marketing, and Analytics teams

Drive Cross-Functional Launch Readiness

• Serve as the central marketing partner connecting Product, Community, Campaign Marketing, CRM, Creative, Analytics, Player Experience, Publishing, and external partners

• Coordinate launch readiness across all player-facing functions, ensuring messaging, creative assets, support documentation, operational plans, and partner approvals are complete before release

• Facilitate launch planning, milestone reviews, and cross-functional communication to proactively identify risks and remove blockers

• Partner with Community and Player Experience to ensure player communications, support readiness, and recovery messaging remain aligned throughout launches and live incidents

Own Product Messaging & Creative Stewardship

• Create creative briefs, messaging frameworks, presentations, launch documentation, executive materials, and marketing guidance that enable successful execution across the organization

• Review and approve marketing assets to ensure consistency across channels and alignment with product strategy, brand standards, and franchise guidelines

• Partner with Creative teams to develop high-quality marketing materials that communicate player value while maintaining franchise authenticity

• Manage approvals and asset delivery with Paramount and other external partners

Measure Product Adoption & Optimize Performance

• Monitor feature adoption, player engagement, sentiment, campaign performance, and commercial outcomes following launches

• Partner with Analytics, Community, and Player Experience to identify player friction, adoption barriers, and opportunities for optimization

• Translate quantitative and qualitative player insights into actionable recommendations for future launches and product improvements

• Continuously refine positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies through experimentation, testing, and post-launch analysis

Lead the Product Marketing Function

• Lead and evolve the Product Marketing discipline for Star Trek Fleet Command, continuously improving launch quality, planning processes, and organizational effectiveness

• Manage the Campaign Manager, providing coaching, prioritization, and strategic direction across day-to-day marketing execution

• Own the Product Marketing operating cadence, including roadmap reviews, launch planning, partner coordination, and cross-functional alignment

• Build trusted relationships across Product, Marketing, Creative, Publishing, Licensing, and executive leadership to improve decision-making and execution

• Establish scalable frameworks, documentation, and best practices that strengthen Product Marketing's impact across the organization

What You've Done

• Translated complex products into compelling player stories, developing positioning and go-to-market strategies that improved player understanding, feature adoption, engagement, and commercial performance

• Led integrated product launches, bringing together Product, Creative, Community, Lifecycle Marketing, Analytics, Campaigns, and external partners around a unified player experience

• Influenced product direction through player insights, leveraging qualitative feedback, quantitative data, and market trends to shape messaging, prioritization, and launch strategy

• Built scalable marketing frameworks, creating repeatable processes, messaging systems, and launch playbooks that improved organizational effectiveness and cross-functional collaboration

• Partnered with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact initiatives in fast-paced, live-service environments where priorities evolve quickly and execution matters

• Mentored marketers and fostered collaborative, high-performing teams while maintaining a hands-on approach to strategy and execution

• Have 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Go-to-Market, Integrated Marketing, or related roles within games, entertainment, technology, or digital products

Bonus

• Experience working on live-service or free-to-play games

• Familiarity with player lifecycle marketing, CRM, audience segmentation, and experimentation

• Experience partnering with analytics teams to evaluate player behavior, feature adoption, and commercial performance

• Experience working with licensed entertainment brands or franchise partners

• Familiarity with creative production pipelines and integrated campaign development

• Passion for strategy games, mobile games, or live-service products

• Knowledge of Star Trek™ and an appreciation for its characters, stories, and passionate global community
