Opportunities in Sainte Luce, Madagascar

SEED's Conservation Research Programme runs four schemes each year and accepts volunteers for 2 to 8 weeks. Remaining listed 2026 October-scheme modules run 29 September-13 October, 14-28 October, 29 October-12 November, and 13-27 November. Activities include conservation fieldwork and research as well as community initiatives. SEED recommends applying at least three months before chosen dates but keeps an online application form available; acceptance and date availability should be confirmed directly. Participant contributions start at GBP 795 for two weeks and rise by duration, with separate personal/pre-departure expenses.

Anyone aged 18 or over may apply. SEED's programme information states that prior conservation experience is not required; applicants should be prepared for field-based volunteering and community work in southeast Madagascar.
