Paid 120-Day Interim Engagement With a Path to Business Ownership

Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site Leadership Role

About the Opportunity

This is more than a management position, it is an opportunity to earn a meaningful ownership interest in an established beauty and wellness business.

Amazing Lash Studio in Hartsdale is seeking an entrepreneurial, hands-on operator to lead the studio’s day-to-day operations, improve its financial performance and position the business for sustained growth.

The selected candidate will begin with a paid 120-day interim engagement. A leader who successfully delivers measurable improvements against agreed performance objectives will transition into a permanent Managing Partner role with the opportunity to earn up to a 25% equity interest in the business, subject to agreed vesting terms and final legal documentation.

Position Summary

The Managing Partner will assume direct responsibility for studio operations, team leadership, membership growth, client retention, revenue generation and profitability.

This is not a traditional Studio Manager position. The successful candidate must be capable of evaluating the business, identifying performance gaps and personally leading the implementation of meaningful improvements.

The role requires a strong combination of operational discipline, financial awareness, sales leadership and team development.

Initial 120-Day Objectives

At the beginning of the engagement, ownership and the Managing Partner will establish clearly defined performance objectives in the following areas:

• Revenue growth and profitability

• Membership acquisition, conversion and retention

• Client acquisition, rebooking and retention

• Appointment volume and studio utilization

• Team productivity and accountability

• Staffing and labor-cost management

• Service quality and the overall client experience

• Local marketing and community partnerships

• Development of additional revenue opportunities

Performance will be monitored throughout the interim period, with formal progress reviews conducted at established intervals.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for the studio’s daily operations and overall performance.

• Conduct an immediate assessment of the business and develop a focused 120-day improvement plan.

• Establish performance expectations, operating standards and accountability systems.

• Recruit, train, coach and manage studio leadership, guest-services personnel and licensed beauty professionals.

• Build a professional, motivated and results-oriented team culture.

• Improve lead response, consultation quality and membership conversion.

• Increase appointment volume, rebooking, service upgrades, retail sales and membership revenue.

• Monitor staffing, scheduling, payroll, labor productivity and controllable expenses.

• Review financial and operational reports and use performance data to guide decisions.

• Develop referral programs, local marketing initiatives and strategic partnerships with complementary businesses.

• Identify and implement additional revenue opportunities within the studio.

• Maintain compliance with brand standards, licensing requirements and applicable employment and safety regulations.

• Provide ownership with consistent reporting on results, challenges and corrective actions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years proven leadership experience in beauty, wellness, salon, spa, hospitality, retail or another membership-based service business.

• Experience managing teams and holding employees accountable to performance standards

• Demonstrated understanding of sales, customer acquisition, lead conversion, client retention, and revenue growth

• Demonstrated experience using business metrics to drive decisions, including revenue, labor, lead conversion, membership growth, retention, rebooking, and profitability

• Strong technology and systems proficiency, with the ability to quickly learn scheduling, CRM, membership, POS, reporting, payroll, and other business management platforms

• Strong business judgment and the confidence to make decisions independently

• Ability to work in a hands-on studio environment and step into operational responsibilities when necessary

• Possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate with confidence

• Must be an excellent organizer and problem solver with strong project management skills

• Must be able to work flexible days and hours; including evenings and weekends

• Competent trainer and motivator

• MindBody Software experience a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing a salon, spa, beauty studio, wellness business, fitness studio, or similar membership-based operation

• Experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, labor management, or financial performance

• Experience with CRM and lead-management systems

• Marketing, social media, local business development, or community partnership experience

• Proven experience increasing membership enrollment, client retention, rebooking, average client spend, or location revenue

• Experience developing referral programs, local partnerships, events, or cross-promotional campaigns

• Strong understanding of current beauty, wellness, social media, and consumer trends

Benefits

Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation will be provided during the initial 120-day interim engagement, based on the candidate’s experience and responsibilities. Following successful completion of the evaluation period, the candidate may be offered a permanent Managing Partner position with the opportunity to earn up to a 25% equity interest in the business. Equity will be subject to agreed performance requirements, vesting provisions and final legal documentation. - Salary up to $100,000/year, based on experience - 40 hours PTO - 1 week vacation - Health insurance eligibility after 90 days
