WHAT YOU’LL DO: Career Readiness Curriculum & Workshops: Lead comprehensive career development training sessions using an approved curriculum to prepare learners for job attainment and entry into mid-level jobs in Information Technology. Provide professional development coaching to learners in a diverse range of complex subjects, encompassing interviewing techniques, crafting resumes and cover letters, optimizing LinkedIn profiles, devising effective job search tactics, fostering workplace success, delivering career advancement training, and various other areas of expertise. Utilize the Professional Development curriculum to prepare each learner to complete the job readiness assessment. Offer remediation workshops and individual coaching sessions for learners needing extra support. Take full ownership of the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) focused on job readiness. Assist the learners with preparing their resumes for the job readiness assessment. Accompany the learners to offsite corporate engagements and offsite events.  Manage a class size of up to 40 learners (the local class is connected to a satellite campus) Learner Performance & Experience Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for learner questions and issues. Provide ongoing individual career counseling to learners. Ensure accurate data management in our CRM system. Collaborate with technical instructors to prepare learner evaluations. Participate in cross-departmental learner progress meetings with other departments. Oversee learner resume uploads into Salesforce. Manage learner attendance and performance policies, including communication with learners not meeting program compliance requirements. Accompany learners off-site campus to corporate engagement site visits, mock interviews, networking events, and lunch and learn with employer partners. Collaborate with the learner support team to provide wellness and financial support to learners. Career Advisement: Assist individuals in identifying and planning their career paths, aligning their skills and aspirations with available opportunities. Offer advice on professional development opportunities, training programs, and skill enhancement to aid in career advancement. Collaborate with Talent Solutions to recommend graduates for specific job requisitions, leveraging insights into individual skills and talents. Conduct one-on-one sessions to address career concerns, strategize career goals, and provide ongoing support throughout their professional journey within the organization. Facilitate connections with relevant stakeholders, mentors, and departments to broaden career prospects and opportunities. Maintain accurate records of career advisement sessions and contribute to reports evaluating the success of career development initiatives. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US: Professional Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in workforce development with a specific background in job readiness coaching, or education Experience in talent acquisition, organizational development, or adult learning in the tech sector, a plus Demonstrated experience in adult classroom training and understanding of principles of classroom  instruction  Experience with Salesforce, Google Suite, and Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred Personal Characteristics You thrive in a creative, inventive, fast-paced startup environment with people who are passionate about their work and mission. For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary of $60,000/year, with a range between $55,000/year and $60,000/year, where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience. Holidays & PTO: Full-Time Per Scholas team members enjoy over 40 days of paid time off each year through a mix of holidays, vacation, and sick/personal time! All employees are eligible for Holiday pay upon hire (a total of 22 holidays annually, including a week off for Independence day and a week before the New Year ). Full-Time Benefits Eligible employees also receive 80 Wellness Hours to use for Sick, Safe, or Personal reasons and accrue Vacation at a rate of 8 hours at the beginning of every month, supporting rest, recharge, and work-life balance. Vacation accruals increase with tenure. Part-time employees are afforded time off on a prorated basis and in accordance with local requirements.  Comprehensive Medical Coverage : Benefit eligible employees can choose from multiple medical plans through Cigna or Kaiser Permanente (where available), with options to fit your needs. Eligible employees also have access to a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) that reimburses eligible out-of-pocket expenses, up to $4,000 for individuals and $8,000 for families. Dental and Vision Insurance : Eligible employees can select from two dental plan options and a vision plan. Employees who waive medical coverage receive employer paid dental and vision premiums. Retirement Savings: 401(k) plan with a current 100% employer match on contributions up to 6%, eligible employees are offered entry and full vesting after 90 days with the company. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) : Free, confidential, 24/7 access to counseling, legal support, and financial resources for employees and their household members Parental Leave: Eligible employees are offered up to 6 weeks of 100% paid parental leave to support employees as they welcome a new child and bond with their family.
