This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled electro-mechanical technician who is passionate about building impactful technology and contributing to meaningful change in the world. This opportunity is an onsite full-time 9-month contracting position based in our Fremont, CA office.   How You’ll Contribute Build, assemble, install, and test complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies, fixtures, and equipment using hand and power tools Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues across subsystems Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and drive design or process improvements Redline assembly and test instructions Support quality and manufacturing engineering teams on production issues and new product introduction (NPI) initiatives Other job duties as assigned Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities AA/AS in engineering, physics, or a related field preferred, and 2+ years of relevant hands-on experience in manufacturing or assembly Hands-on experience assembling, testing, or troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems, instruments, or production equipment Experience building wiring harnesses from engineering documentation, including interpreting schematics, wire lists, assembly drawings, and work instructions Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics (via PDM viewers, PDFs, etc.) Skilled in using hand tools and diagnostic instruments, including calipers, torque drivers, wire crimpers, multimeters, and more Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for precision assembly Proactive, dependable, and committed to high-quality work with a positive attitude, curiosity, and eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, pull, lift/move/carry up to 30 lbs and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and close visual focus This contracting position offers an hourly pay rate between $27/hour and $30/hour, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. #LI-Onsite Ultima Genomics is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
