Logistics Coordinator

Location: Paarl (On-site) Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: Market Related and dependent on experience

Overview

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their growing team based in Southern Paarl. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the logistics function through accurate administration, coordination, and documentation within a fast-paced fruit export environment.

This position requires strong organisational skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and a high level of accuracy. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a high-pressure operational setting and will be able to communicate effectively in both Afrikaans and English.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage export documentation and ensure all paperwork is accurate and submitted timeously
• Assist with logistics planning, scheduling, instructions, and operational coordination
• Handle stock control processes for both export and local inventory
• Perform administration on the OX/Prophet system
• Compile and submit reports on all relevant logistics and operational data
• Support the logistics manager with day-to-day operational tasks
• Ensure all logistics-related documentation is maintained accurately and efficiently
• Assist with any additional duties related to logistics and supply chain coordination

Requirements

Requirements

• Matric (a relevant tertiary qualification or diploma will be advantageous)
• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar logistics role, ideally within the fruit export industry
• Working knowledge and experience with the OX/Prophet system
• Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work after hours during peak seasons when required
• Reliable transport to and from work
