Full Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world leader in providing a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud powering hundreds of thousands of business in hundreds of countries around the world. Data Center Services Procurement supports Data Center Global Services in obtaining the best services at the lowest costs, and manages the full “Supplier Lifecycle” including Strategic Sourcing and Intake, Onboarding, Solicitations, Spending and Transaction Policy (S&TP) Compliance, Contract management, Supplier Development, and portions of requisitioning and payment operations. We are seeking a Procurement professional to support procurement operational support for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) data center construction space. As a Procurement Operations Specialist, you will work with the procurement category managers in creating and supporting procurement projects and operations. Operations include: supplier qualifications, request for proposals, vendor performance dashboards for construction ,due diligence, preparing operations reports, supplier data maintenance activities. Projects include: process automation, cycle time improvements, and reporting metrics. You will also provide input on procurement processes and tools to help identify waste and enable innovation across teams. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Key job responsibilities Independently and cross-functionally deliver on projects/goals. Lead process improvement projects for procurement operations. Project manage implementation and engage stakeholders. Manage assigned supplier onboarding and qualification processes. Manage assigned tender events, and related follow-on contract generation supporting the category manager. Identify dashboard requirements for metrics reporting and identify opportunities for process improvement and develop training documentation. Support Procurement Category Managers managing category business processes such as business reviews, supplier performance measurement or ad hoc projects as needed.
