Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Director, Strategic Accounts based in Canada. In this senior commercial role, you will drive strategic account growth and business development across the North American wireless and connected-device ecosystem. You will manage key enterprise relationships across the United States and Canada, strengthening customer partnerships while identifying opportunities to expand revenue and market presence. Working in a global B2B SaaS and cybersecurity environment, you will engage with telecommunications providers, retailers, fintech organizations, mobility partners, and technology companies. You will lead complex sales cycles, negotiate commercial agreements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver lasting customer value. This opportunity is ideal for a commercially driven professional who combines strategic thinking, relationship-building, and new business development to achieve measurable growth. You will also contribute to technology that supports secure connected devices and broader access to digital finance.

Own, manage, and grow a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts across North America, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders and serving as the primary commercial contact. Drive customer retention, contract renewals, upselling, and account expansion through structured account plans focused on satisfaction, long-term partnerships, and revenue growth. Represent customer needs internally, ensuring that relevant teams understand customer priorities, challenges, and commercial opportunities. Support the closure of strategic opportunities already in progress while identifying, qualifying, and developing new business across telecommunications, retail, mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs), mobility, device financing and leasing, and enterprise technology. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities, leading sales engagements from initial outreach and qualification through negotiation and contract execution. Develop new relationships and expand the business's presence across the wireless, telecommunications, mobility, and connected-device markets. Lead commercial discussions and contract negotiations, collaborating with Legal, Product, Operations, Finance, and executive leadership to advance strategic opportunities. Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts, monitoring performance against revenue, retention, account growth, and new business targets. Achieve or exceed commercial objectives while ensuring a customer-focused approach and delivering measurable business outcomes. Requirements: Proven experience in enterprise sales, strategic account management, business development, or a comparable commercial role. Demonstrated success managing complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers. Experience owning and expanding strategic customer relationships, including customer retention, renewals, upselling, and new business development. Ability to manage sales opportunities from initial engagement through commercial negotiation and contract execution. Experience using Salesforce or a comparable customer relationship management (CRM) platform. Background in telecommunications, wireless, B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, fintech, mobility, device lifecycle management, or related technology sectors. Experience working with mobile operators, retailers, MVNOs, distributors, channel partners, or service providers. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify, qualify, and develop revenue-generating opportunities. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage senior customer stakeholders. Strong pipeline management, forecasting, organization, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple strategic accounts and opportunities simultaneously. A proactive, strategic, and customer-focused mindset, combined with a collaborative approach to working across global and cross-functional teams. Nice to have: Experience selling into enterprise technology organizations. Existing relationships within, or a strong understanding of, the North American wireless and connected-device ecosystem. Benefits: Competitive base salary reflecting experience, expertise, and expected impact. Bonus scheme linked to business success. Private medical insurance for you and your family, starting on day one. Remote working arrangements that support flexibility and work-life balance. Open holiday policy with no upper limit, allowing flexibility to take time off when needed. Support for volunteering and causes that matter to you. Professional development opportunities and potential for career progression. Exposure to and collaboration with global teams. Inclusive, supportive, and collaborative work environment where employee contributions and wellbeing are valued. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with equal employment opportunities. The opportunity to contribute to technology that supports global economic inclusion, secure connected devices, and access to digital finance.
