Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Account Manager – Portfolio & Owner Success based in Brazil. As an Account Manager, you will take commercial ownership of a portfolio of property owners in the UK short-term rental market, helping maximize property performance and build long-term client relationships. You will analyze revenue, occupancy, pricing, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improve portfolio profitability. Acting as the primary point of contact for property owners, you will lead strategic performance discussions, manage expectations, and proactively address retention risks. You will collaborate with international teams across operations, guest experience, and finance to ensure effective coordination and consistent service delivery. This role goes beyond traditional account support, requiring a commercially minded professional who can turn data into actionable recommendations and measurable results. Working remotely from Brazil within UK business hours, you will join a dynamic, technology-driven hospitality environment that values accountability, initiative, and continuous improvement.

Portfolio Revenue and Performance Management: Take end-to-end commercial ownership of an assigned property portfolio, analyzing revenue, occupancy, pricing, market conditions, and performance indicators to maximize property yield and owner returns. Proactive Account Management: Build strong, long-term relationships with property owners through regular account reviews, strategic consultations, and proactive communication that supports satisfaction, retention, and portfolio growth. Retention and Churn Prevention: Monitor account health, identify early warning signs of owner dissatisfaction or potential churn, and implement targeted action plans to strengthen relationships and retain clients. Performance Reviews and Commercial Advisory: Lead data-driven discussions with property owners, explain performance trends, recommend pricing and revenue strategies, manage expectations, and constructively challenge decisions when necessary to improve results. Growth and Optimization Opportunities: Identify opportunities to improve property performance, expand existing accounts, and increase portfolio value by translating commercial insights into practical recommendations. Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the main link between property owners and internal teams, including operations, guest experience, and finance, ensuring issues are assigned, escalated when appropriate, and resolved effectively. CRM and Portfolio Reporting: Maintain accurate records of owner interactions, account activities, agreed actions, and outcomes in CRM systems while tracking portfolio performance, client retention, and commercial progress. Risk Identification and Resolution: Anticipate account challenges, investigate recurring issues, and coordinate timely interventions to protect owner relationships and maintain strong portfolio performance. Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring operational or commercial challenges, share insights with relevant teams, and recommend improvements to account management processes and the overall owner experience. Independent Portfolio Ownership: Prioritize activities, manage competing demands, and take responsibility for account outcomes while collaborating effectively with colleagues across international markets. Requirements Account Management Experience: Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients or accounts, with direct responsibility for retention, renewals, relationship development, or commercial growth. Previous portfolio ownership is essential for success in this role. Commercial and Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of commercial performance indicators and confidence working with revenue, occupancy, pricing, and other business metrics to identify opportunities and assess results. Retention and Churn Management: Experience monitoring account health, identifying at-risk clients, implementing retention strategies, and proactively addressing factors that may lead to client loss. Data-Driven Decision-Making: Ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, develop actionable recommendations, and communicate insights clearly to clients and internal stakeholders. Client Communication and Negotiation: Excellent relationship management skills and the confidence to lead challenging or commercially sensitive conversations, manage expectations, and constructively challenge client assumptions when needed. English Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English is essential for communicating with UK-based property owners and international colleagues. CRM and Digital Tools: Comfortable using CRM platforms, reporting tools, and digital systems to document account activity, monitor performance, and manage client relationships. Problem-Solving and Initiative: A proactive, organized, and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to identify risks early, resolve challenges, and take ownership of commercial outcomes. Independent Working Style: Ability to manage a portfolio autonomously, prioritize effectively, and remain accountable for results while collaborating with a geographically distributed team. Adaptability and Continuous Improvement: Willingness to work in a dynamic, technology-driven environment, adapt to changing market conditions, and contribute ideas that improve business performance. Preferred Industry Experience: Previous experience in short-term rentals, property management, hospitality, travel, or property technology (PropTech) is an advantage. Availability and Contractual Readiness: Availability to work full-time during UK business hours and willingness to engage on a freelance or independent contractor basis rather than as a direct employee. Benefits Fully Remote Work: Work remotely from Brazil while supporting a portfolio of property owners in the UK market. Independent Contractor Arrangement: Full-time freelance engagement with the flexibility and autonomy associated with an independent contractor model. Direct Commercial Impact: Take ownership of a property portfolio and make a measurable contribution to owner performance, revenue growth, and client retention. International Collaboration: Work with colleagues across different countries and markets in a multicultural, globally connected environment. Technology-Driven Workplace: Gain experience in a modern hospitality and property management environment that combines technology, data, and commercial strategy. Professional Growth: Develop expertise in account management, portfolio optimization, revenue performance, client retention, and the short-term rental industry. Ownership and Autonomy: Take initiative, manage client relationships independently, and influence decisions that improve commercial outcomes. Inclusive Team Culture: Join a diverse working environment that values different backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and contributions. Compensation and Working Arrangements: Details regarding compensation, working schedules, and the collaboration model will be discussed during the recruitment process.
