Full Job Description

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to support billing, collections, reporting, contract administration, and royalty operations across the business. This role will be responsible for preparing invoices, applying cash receipts, maintaining accounts receivable reporting, supporting the international royalty reporting process, tracking contractual obligations and billing milestones, and ensuring the timely execution of day-to-day accounts receivable activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while partnering with cross-functional teams. This individual will play an important role in supporting an efficient order-to-cash process and identifying opportunities to improve and automate accounts receivable operations.

This role can be based in our New York or West Hollywood office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivable & Billing

  • Prepare and issue customer invoices in accordance with contractual terms and billing schedules.

  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up with customers to ensure timely payment.

  • Process cash receipts and accurately apply customer payments.

  • Review customer agreements to identify invoicing requirements, payment terms, billing milestones, and other contractual obligations.

  • Maintain customer master data, agreement records, and order entry within ERP systems.

  • Respond to internal and external billing and payment inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Maintain organized documentation and supporting records for invoices, payments, and customer agreements.

  • Reporting & Operations

  • Maintain and reconcile recurring accounts receivable reports, aging schedules, dashboards, and tracking tools.

  • Support invoicing, reporting, and collections activities across multiple business lines.

  • Assist with monitoring contractual milestones and communicating upcoming billing events to ensure timely invoicing.

  • Partner with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Operations to resolve billing and payment issues and support the end-to-end order-to-cash process.

  • International Royalties

  • Support the receipt, organization, and tracking of international royalty statements from distribution partners.

  • Maintain royalty reporting schedules, supporting documentation, and compliance calendars.

  • Support royalty reconciliations and other accounting activities related to international royalty reporting.

  • Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate accounts receivable and royalty processes.

  • Assist with system implementations, reporting enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support ad hoc projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 4+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, accounting, or a related role.

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

  • Experience with ERP systems; experience with reporting tools (e.g., Airtable or similar platforms) is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated interest in improving processes and leveraging technology to increase efficiency and accuracy.

This is an hourly position. Our target annual salary equivalent is $62,000 - $74,000, inclusive of anticipated overtime pay. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, including both cash and equity components, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
