USP Masters by Research applicants normally need a postgraduate diploma GPA of 3.5 or above at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, or a bachelor's GPA of 4.0 or above in 200/300-level courses; USP PhD applicants need a research master's or a bachelor's GPA of 4.5 or above in 200/300-level courses. Women are particularly encouraged to apply.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified on the current USP ACIAR PASS-CR application page. It explicitly lists the 2027 application form, 17 August 2026 opening date, 21 October 2026 at 5pm FJT closing time, seven eligible Pacific Island citizenships, study routes at USP/FNU, tuition and allowance duration, research-grant ceilings and email submission process. Some FAQ wording still references the 2025 selection process, but the live 2027 application timetable and form are current; the record uses only details that the current page presents as programme rules.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
