Overview
AEGEAN is accepting applications for up to 40 pilot-training scholarships for the 2027 intake, providing financial support for most of the cost of an Integrated Commercial Pilot License with MCC program.
Complete scholarship details
The 2027 intake begins on 11 January 2027. Full-time training lasts about 18 to 20 months and is delivered with Global Aviation in Athens and Egnatia Aviation in Kavala, including theoretical, flight and simulator training. AEGEAN states that the scholarship provides financial support for the majority of training costs. Successful completion creates a pathway toward pilot employment with AEGEAN or Olympic Air, subject to the program and company requirements; no guaranteed employment or exact scholarship amount is inferred.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must hold Greek or Cypriot citizenship, have been born after 1 January 1998, hold at least a high-school diploma, and have excellent Greek and English. Male applicants must already have completed military service or complete it by 31 December 2026; candidates relying on a military-service deferment are not accepted under the current program conditions.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified against AEGEAN's current Pilot Scholarship Program page and 30 June 2026 official announcement. The application closes 16 October 2026 at 21:00 Greece time, equivalent to 18:00 UTC while Greece is on EEST. AEGEAN says the scholarship supports the majority of training costs but does not publish a universal award amount, so no amount is invented.
