Our partner is looking for an Afrikaans Voice Acting Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer Project based in India. This freelance opportunity is designed for language specialists with native-level Afrikaans fluency and strong spoken communication skills. You will contribute to AI training projects by recording short scripts and delivering natural, expressive voice performances. The work involves reading in different tones, including friendly, neutral, and authoritative styles. You may also participate in paired or group recording sessions with other Afrikaans speakers. Attention to pronunciation, clarity, timing, and consistency will be essential. This remote project offers flexibility for independent contractors with a quiet recording space and reliable audio equipment.

As an Afrikaans Voice Acting Specialist, you will produce high-quality audio recordings that support language and AI training initiatives. Your responsibilities will include: Record short lines and paragraphs in Afrikaans, adapting your delivery to different tones and instructions. Participate in paired or group script-reading sessions, typically involving scripts of approximately five minutes. Follow recording briefs and adjust pronunciation, emphasis, pacing, and clarity based on feedback. Complete retakes when necessary to meet quality and timing requirements. Submit clean, clearly labeled audio files within agreed deadlines. Maintain consistent recording levels and microphone distance throughout each session. Requirements: The ideal candidate has excellent Afrikaans speaking skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver clear, natural recordings. Applicants must also demonstrate proficiency in a second language, preferably a non-English language. The key requirements include: Native-level fluency in Afrikaans and clear, easily understood speech. Proficiency in a second language at an equal, near-native, or working level. Access to a quiet recording environment free from background noise, echo, and unwanted hum. A good-quality microphone, preferably USB or XLR, with a stable recording setup and a pop filter if available. Ability to follow detailed instructions, take feedback, and apply pronunciation or style notes accurately. Reliable internet access and the ability to deliver recordings on schedule. Prior voice acting, voiceover, podcasting, or other on-microphone experience is an advantage. Basic audio recording practices, including consistent microphone positioning and sound levels; extensive audio editing is not required.
