Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI First Sr. iOS Engineer based in the United States. Join a forward-thinking engineering team building and scaling innovative mobile experiences for a high-value digital marketplace. In this senior role, you will design, develop, and optimize iOS applications serving both buyers and sellers. You will help shape the technical direction of the iOS platform, modernizing existing architectures while delivering reliable, high-quality features. Artificial intelligence will be an integral part of your daily workflow, helping you accelerate development, improve testing, and streamline debugging. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, Android, backend, and platform engineering teams to deliver seamless cross-platform experiences. Beyond writing code, you will take ownership of complex technical challenges, mentor intermediate engineers, and promote engineering best practices. This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact in a collaborative, remote-first environment that values innovation, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
Mobile Application Development: Design, build, test, and ship high-quality iOS features across buyer and seller experiences, primarily using SwiftUI while supporting existing UIKit and Storyboard components. Technical Leadership and Architecture: Drive iOS technical decisions, improve modular architecture, maintain shared internal libraries, and support the modernization of legacy applications. Platform Integration: Develop and maintain cross-cutting capabilities, including authentication, feature flags, product analytics, crash reporting, and navigation patterns. Quality Assurance and Release Management: Strengthen unit, UI, and snapshot testing practices, maintain robust code review and continuous integration standards, and contribute to reliable TestFlight and App Store releases using automated workflows. AI-Driven Engineering: Integrate AI-powered coding assistants, refactoring tools, test generators, and debugging solutions into everyday development while critically validating generated outputs before implementation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers, designers, backend engineers, QA specialists, and Android developers to align functionality, improve user experiences, and ensure consistent behavior across platforms. Mentorship and Continuous Improvement: Coach intermediate engineers, share technical knowledge, improve development workflows, and take ownership of features from initial design through production release and ongoing maintenance. Requirements Professional Experience: At least 5 years of professional iOS development experience, or equivalent practical expertise, including building and maintaining production mobile applications. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Swift and hands-on experience developing applications with SwiftUI, with the ability to work with UIKit and Storyboards in established codebases. Architecture and Development: Experience with MVVM or similar architectural patterns, modular iOS applications, Swift Package Manager (SPM), shared libraries, dependency injection, and navigation coordination. Testing and Delivery: Practical experience with unit, UI, and snapshot testing, continuous integration and delivery, code reviews, production monitoring, and shipping applications through TestFlight and the App Store. Mobile Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with networking, concurrency, performance optimization, feature flags, analytics, crash reporting, and authentication technologies such as OpenID Connect (OIDC) or AppAuth. AI-First Mindset: Demonstrated daily use of AI development tools, including coding assistants, AI-powered debugging, and automated test generation, combined with the ability to evaluate accuracy, security, and code quality critically. Ownership and Leadership: Proven ability to take responsibility for complex features and shared platform concerns, exercise sound engineering judgment, mentor colleagues, and collaborate effectively across disciplines. Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading UIKit-to-SwiftUI migrations, working on marketplace, e-commerce, auction, or high-volume transactional applications, reviewing Android/Kotlin code, mentoring engineers, using BrowserStack or multi-platform snapshot testing strategies, and working with hybrid WebView or Cordova components. Employment Eligibility: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Benefits Competitive Compensation: Annual salary ranging from $125,000 to $165,000 USD , depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and other relevant factors. Employee Assistance: Access to an employee assistance program supporting personal and professional well-being. Professional Development: Tuition reimbursement for eligible programs and opportunities to expand technical expertise, share knowledge, and learn from experienced colleagues. Career Growth: Opportunities for internal mobility, diverse career paths, and meaningful advancement within a global organization.
