The ideal candidate will bring deep experience developing secure, scalable, and modern applications that integrate data across multiple systems both on-premises and in cloud environments. This role requires working closely with Navy stakeholders to design, develop, deploy, and sustain custom applications aligned to mission objectives. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, deploy, and maintain custom applications and mission-focused digital solutions. Build robust web applications, including intuitive front-end interfaces and secure, efficient back-end services. Integrate data from internal and external sources to ensure end-to-end functionality and high-performance operations. Implement artificial intelligence capabilities leveraging Microsoft’s AI ecosystem, including Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI Service, and Azure Machine Learning. Develop automation and low-code/no-code solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). Support full Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), including source control, pipelines, environments, and solution-based deployments. Build and maintain custom components using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Apps Component Framework, and advanced Power BI modeling. Deploy and manage solutions across both Azure Cloud and on-premises Windows Server environments. Utilize virtualization technologies (VMWare or Hyper‑V) for system hosting and development environments. Manage enterprise databases using Microsoft SQL Server, including T‑SQL development, performance tuning, and data modeling. Leverage Azure DevOps and Visual Studio to manage work items, repositories, builds, releases, and development workflows. Create automation scripts and tools using PowerShell to support CI/CD, system configuration, migration, and administrative tasks. Required Skills & Experience: Core Development Technologies: C# .NET Framework / .NET Core JavaScript HTML / CSS JSON T‑SQL Python R AI & Advanced Capabilities: Azure AI Services Azure OpenAI Service Azure Machine Learning Integration of AI into application workflows Power Platform Expertise (Mandatory): Power Apps (canvas and model‑driven app development) Power Automate (cloud flows, desktop flows) Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboard/report development) Cloud & Infrastructure: Azure Cloud deployments, configuration, and resource management On‑premises Windows Server administration Virtualization using VMWare or Hyper‑V Enterprise database management using Microsoft SQL Server Development Lifecycle: Azure DevOps pipelines, repos, boards Visual Studio for application development Strong understanding of ALM frameworks, solution deployments, and environment strategies Additional Required Experience: Custom development using SPFx Secure coding practices, especially in support of DoD environments Ability to work within Agile or DevSecOps workflows Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Statistics, Design, or a related field. Relevant technical certifications (Azure, Power Platform, AI/ML, SQL) highly preferred.
