Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Applications Administrator – Clarity based in India. The Applications Administrator will provide essential Level 2 (L2) operational and administrative support for the Clarity Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) platform. In this role, you will help maintain application stability, resolve incidents, monitor scheduled jobs, validate data integrity, and manage user access. You will collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure reliable application performance and timely resolution of service requests. The position also involves supporting testing, system releases, production deployments, and disaster recovery activities while maintaining compliance with established security and operational controls. You will contribute to knowledge management, documentation, and continuous improvement while developing your technical expertise in SQL, GEL scripting, NSQL, XOG, APIs, and integrations. This opportunity is ideal for an application support professional looking to strengthen their enterprise systems administration skills in a structured, collaborative environment. The role is fully remote within India, with night-shift working hours from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST and participation in scheduled weekend maintenance and on-call support as required.
Provide Level 2 operational and administrative support for the Clarity PPM platform, handling routine incidents, service requests, and application-related issues. Take ownership of assigned support tickets from initial investigation through resolution or appropriate escalation, maintaining timely updates, accurate resolution notes, and supporting documentation. Perform routine Clarity administration, including user management, security group administration, access requests, application configuration, and other operational activities. Monitor application health, support queues, scheduled jobs, batch processes, interfaces, and automated workflows to identify failures and maintain system reliability. Investigate failed jobs, interfaces, and scheduled processes, following documented recovery procedures and escalating complex issues to the appropriate technical teams. Perform regular data-integrity checks and operational data validation, document findings, and assist with corrective actions when discrepancies are identified. Support periodic Clarity license-utilization reviews, reporting activities, and application administration requests in accordance with approved procedures. Assist with application testing for incident fixes, enhancements, patches, upgrades, and releases by creating and executing test cases and documenting results. Support user acceptance testing (UAT), production-readiness checks, planned deployments, and post-implementation validation to ensure successful changes. Participate in planned production releases, weekend maintenance activities, and other scheduled operational tasks. Maintain operational runbooks, standard operating procedures, knowledge articles, Known Error Database (KEDB) entries, and other support documentation. Participate in knowledge-transfer activities with the incumbent managed service provider, ensuring that operational knowledge is captured, validated, and shared with the support team. Follow incident, request, problem, change, and release-management processes to ensure consistent service delivery and operational control. Assist with service-level agreement (SLA) and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting, backlog tracking, and operational performance reviews. Support disaster recovery exercises and execute documented recovery procedures as required. Provide basic user guidance and help maintain training materials and application support resources. Coordinate with developers, team leads, infrastructure specialists, and other support teams to investigate and resolve issues requiring advanced functional or technical analysis. Execute administrative activities in accordance with SOX controls, security policies, access-management standards, segregation-of-duties requirements, and audit procedures. Maintain control evidence for access changes, operational checks, and support procedures, and assist with periodic access reviews, audit evidence collection, and control testing. Contribute to the team's 16x5 support coverage model and participate in an on-call rotation when assigned. Develop technical capabilities in Clarity configuration, SQL, GEL, NSQL, XOG, REST APIs, XML, web services, and integrations through hands-on experience and structured cross-training. Requirements: Hold a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Systems, or a related discipline, with at least 2 years of experience in enterprise systems administration or infrastructure support. Have foundational to early-career hands-on experience with Clarity PPM administration or production application support. Demonstrate a basic understanding of Clarity user administration, security groups, access requests, application configuration, scheduled jobs, support queues, and routine operational procedures. Possess basic SQL skills for data validation, troubleshooting, investigation, and operational support. Have foundational exposure to at least one or more of the following technologies: GEL scripting, NSQL, XOG, REST APIs, XML, web services, or Clarity integrations. Advanced proficiency is not required, as deeper technical skills can be developed through structured training. Demonstrate experience monitoring batch jobs, scheduled processes, application health, and interfaces, including identifying failures and following recovery or escalation procedures. Be familiar with incident management and service-request queues, ticket documentation, escalation procedures, and established support workflows. Have experience creating or executing test cases and supporting UAT, application fixes, patches, releases, or post-deployment validation. Understand application access administration, operational documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures. Demonstrate strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate issues systematically and resolve routine application problems independently. Be comfortable following documented operational procedures, formal change-control processes, and security requirements. Have exposure to SOX-controlled applications, access governance, audit evidence requirements, or compliance-oriented operational environments; this is preferred. Possess excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and high-quality support documentation. Communicate effectively with business users, developers, infrastructure teams, and other technical stakeholders, providing clear updates and escalating issues promptly. Demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies, strengthen Clarity functional and technical expertise, and progressively take ownership of more complex support activities. Be able to manage priorities, meet service-level expectations, and maintain productivity in a fully remote environment. Be available to work the India night shift from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST , including scheduled weekend maintenance and on-call support as required.
