About Lumafield:
Lumafield was founded in 2019 to upgrade manufacturing.
We are engineers with deep experience across the product development cycle, from initial ideas to shipping hardware, across industries and specializations, who became frustrated by the cost and complexity of modern manufacturing. So we decided to upgrade it.
Engineers make million-dollar decisions every day, and they need tools that give them the greatest possible insight into their products. By offering unprecedented visibility into products, as well as AI-driven tools that highlight problems and generate quantitative data, Lumafield promises to revolutionize the way complex products are created, manufactured, and used across industries. We started with industrial CT scanning, which for us was the most valuable but underutilized tool in the manufacturing toolbox, enabling us to rapidly inspect essential components non-destructively.
We rebuilt the whole system, from X-ray capture, to computer vision analysis, to web-based collaboration, to the entire business model, making the most advanced manufacturing tech more accessible to every industry. Our company, like our platform, is designed for upgrades. We’re building for greater intelligence, autonomy, and speed. For deeper vision, operational excellence, and powerful insights. And then we'll upgrade it all again.

Become an expert of Lumafield's scanners across all product lines, including planning and running scans on a wide range of parts, materials, and inspection objectives.
Own post-sale technical execution for customer accounts.
Build automated inspection solutions and workloads for customers, including recipe development and tuning for inline and line-adjacent manufacturing deployments.
Use agentic coding tools to build custom tooling, scripts, and integrations that solve specific customer problems.
Design and iterate on fixturing to get repeatable, production-viable scans.
Run evaluation scans and technical demonstrations that help customers understand what CT can do with their parts.
Work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Solution Architects, Product Management, and Engineering to resolve technical issues and turn recurring customer needs into product improvements.
Document workflows, recipes, and training so customers can build on the work independently.
A degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Metallurgical, Plastics, or a related engineering field.
2+ years of professional experience in an engineering, applications, technical support, technical sales, or production role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and genuine comfort working directly with customers — including presenting technical results and managing expectations on scope.
Comfortable using agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) to build tools and automations. You don't need to be a software engineer, but you should be someone who reaches for automation rather than doing it by hand.
Hands-on mechanical aptitude — comfortable with fixturing, tolerances, and how parts are actually made.
Energized by breadth. This role spans hardware operation, software, automation, and customer relationships, and no two weeks look the same.
Willingness to travel to customer sites, approximately 30%.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Hands-on experience with industrial CT, CMM, or other dimensional metrology or NDT workflows.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, injection molding, additive manufacturing, stamping, or assembly.
Experience with inline or automated inspection systems, or with integrating equipment into a production line.
Familiarity with GD&T, first-article inspection (FAI), or continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or SPC.
Experience with CAD tools such as Onshape or SolidWorks.
Domain experience in medical devices, aerospace and defense, automotive, electronics, or batteries.
