Overview
Armory is building the transaction network for US healthcare services.
Full job description
Armory is building the transaction network for US healthcare services. Payments became infrastructure. Telecom became infrastructure. The complexity of routing money or connecting two people anywhere in the world disappeared behind reliable networks, and the end user simply transacts. Our mission is to do that for healthcare: rebuild the transaction rails from new primitives that make getting care as simple as ordering takeout. We're a small team in New York, in person every day. We've built and shipped complex workflow and AI systems for HHS, NIH, and other critical institutions. We're here because few systems matter more to the daily lives of Americans, and few are more in need of rebuilding. THE ROLE As an Applied AI Strategist, you play two roles: an operator who understands how care providers actually run, from the workflows to the handoffs to the workarounds, and a redesigner who can see how that work should be rebuilt once AI is a native part of it. You'll own the gap between the two: mapping how customers operate today, defining what the system needs to become, and driving that transformation through to delivery. Some days that means writing the product spec. Other days it means sitting with a customer, tracing a broken workflow end to end, redesigning the operating model, or working directly with engineers to get the new system into production. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Scope and ship: guide our product and engineering teams to build the next solution, and demo it to current and prospective customers.
- Take customers live: get them onto the platform with their core transactions running automatically, drive adoption, and reach a steady state they trust.
- Build trust through execution: earn the relationship by delivering; become the person they call first.
- Learn how they really work: embed with their team until you can see what's worth building next.
- Make it repeatable: turn each deployment into a process, with the tooling to match, so the next one is faster than the last. WHO THRIVES HERE
- See the real problem: you look past what a customer asks for to the problem that actually matters.
- Care that it works: millions rely on this system, so failing isn't on the table. You share the sense that we don't get to walk away from a problem this important.
- Write the playbook: you're comfortable when there's none yet, because you're the one writing it.
- Know where the edges are: you understand the system well enough to lead the build conversation toward the right long-term solution. COMPENSATION $140,000 - $200,000 + competitive equity Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or national, or U.S. lawful permanent resident. This is a full-time, in-person position based at our New York City office.
