Full job description
The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with over 3,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more. Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly. The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you. About the team: Our Channel Partners team is hiring an Associate Account Director to act as a strategic in-market leader and growth advisor for our Value Added Reseller portfolio. This role is an individual contributor and blends strategic client work, partner enablement & training, cross functional collaboration with Product, Legal, Business Development, Support, etc. to build out and scale a new high growth client type at TTD. What you'll do: Own senior leadership relationships at our largest Resellers and grow partner spend, active advertisers, and best-in-class platform usage. Help partners reach their Joint Business Plan (JBP) targets by turning The Trade Desk priorities into clear initiatives, tracking progress, and adjusting course when needed. Build and scale training and certification programs so Reseller teams can activate on the platform with confidence. Standardize processes and playbooks behind onboarding and activation so the program scales as new partners join. Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders across Data/Inventory Partnerships, Policy, Legal, and Support to solve complex and unique partner needs and to unlock opportunities for growth. Translate internal and external priorities and be the connective tissue with stakeholders across the company regarding our program and client needs. Bring Reseller-specific needs to our Product team, such as managing multiple advertisers, permissions, reporting, and billing, and help shape how the platform supports partner-led businesses. Communicate effectively with others by solving business challenges together, identifying opportunities for growth, and collaborating to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. Who you are: 7+ years of digital advertising experience with strong programmatic and DSP fluency. Experience building or scaling a Channel Partnerships/Reseller ecosystem is a plus. An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to sit with ambiguity and still get the job done. Experience in developing, nurturing and managing client relationships. Proven track record of driving revenue growth with large partner, channel, or customer accounts. Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, executive team and industry groups. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence senior partners and cross functional stakeholders. Highly organized with a strong attention to detail. The Trade Desk does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firm recruiters. Fees will not be paid in the event a candidate submitted by a recruiter without an agreement in place is hired; such resumes will be deemed the sole property of The Trade Desk.
