Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Director, Product based in the United States. As Associate Director, Product, you will own a flagship healthcare revenue and risk-adjustment product, guiding its strategy, delivery, and ongoing evolution. You’ll work at the intersection of product, engineering, clients, and business operations to deliver solutions that improve financial performance and healthcare outcomes. The role combines hands-on product management with people leadership and cross-functional influence. You’ll lead complex discovery and feature development while shaping roadmaps and launch strategies. You’ll also engage directly with clients, including managing escalations and translating feedback into product opportunities. This is a fully remote opportunity in a mission-driven healthcare technology environment where your work will directly influence product growth and customer impact.

Own the product line end-to-end, including day-to-day operations, strategic direction, feature development, roadmap planning, and overall product success. Lead product discovery and delivery by investigating technical questions, leveraging AI to understand codebases, facilitating client discovery sessions, and developing detailed product requirements documents. Evaluate new product opportunities and provide build-versus-buy recommendations to support informed product decisions. Partner closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to plan releases, coordinate application changes, and successfully launch new features. Communicate product updates across the organization and proactively identify potential dependencies or impacts across related products. Manage client relationships and escalations with increasing independence, ensuring issues are understood, communicated, and resolved effectively. Develop monthly roadmaps, pod-level quarterly roadmaps, and product-level roadmap recommendations aligned with business priorities. Guide cross-functional stakeholders through product changes and coordinate the activities required for successful feature launches. Lead and develop direct reports by establishing clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and supporting career development and growth opportunities. Apply analytical and business judgment to balance customer needs, technical considerations, product opportunities, and broader organizational outcomes. Requirements 6–8 years of professional Product Management experience, including at least 1 year managing and developing a product team. Familiarity with Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding methodologies and Risk Adjustment Factor (RAF) score calculations within the Medicare Advantage space. Strong understanding of the software product development lifecycle and experience managing Scrum processes. Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients, manage escalations, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to navigate ambiguous or complex problem spaces. Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate product decisions against broader business objectives. Proactive, curious, and motivated to learn new technologies, methodologies, and domain knowledge. Working knowledge of SQL and JIRA. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders with minimal managerial oversight. Preferred experience developing data-heavy front-end analytics applications. Preferred experience building healthcare revenue, RAF analytics, or revenue cycle management products. Familiarity with X12 837/834 EDI standards is a plus. Prior experience working in a startup or high-growth environment is preferred. Ability to work remotely and independently while maintaining strong collaboration across distributed teams. This position is not eligible for employment sponsorship. Benefits Competitive base salary range of $170,000–$180,000 , with final compensation determined based on experience, skills, and organizational needs. Fully remote position available to candidates based in the United States. Opportunity to own and shape a strategically important healthcare technology product. Product leadership responsibilities combining strategy, execution, client engagement, and team development. Exposure to healthcare revenue integrity, risk adjustment, analytics, and Medicare Advantage. Opportunity to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, clients, and business stakeholders. Meaningful opportunity for professional growth through product ownership and people leadership.
