UNESCO is recruiting an on-site SC8 Associate National Project Officer in Tashkent to support education-programme implementation, teacher-education reform and competency-based teaching initiatives under a 12-month service contract.
Full job description
The officer will support education work plans, teacher-education curriculum review, programme coordination and activities related to pre-service and in-service teacher development. UNESCO states that the contract includes a three-month probation period and may be extended subject to satisfactory performance and available funding.
Requirements & qualifications
An advanced university degree in education, social sciences, international relations, ICT or another relevant field is required; UNESCO allows a first-level university degree plus at least four additional years of relevant experience as an alternative. Applicants need at least four years of relevant professional experience in general education and excellent written and spoken English and Uzbek. Russian and teacher-training experience are desirable.
