As an Associate Scientific Editor or Scientific Editor, you will help shape the future of scholarly publishing by evaluating cutting-edge research and supporting the dissemination of high-quality scientific discoveries. You will work with manuscripts spanning computer science, electrical and computer engineering, applied mathematics, data science, machine learning, and related disciplines. The role combines scientific assessment, peer-review coordination, author engagement, and editorial decision-making within an interdisciplinary research environment. You will collaborate with researchers, academic institutions, and scientific experts worldwide to identify impactful studies and uphold rigorous publication standards. You will also contribute to journal development, community outreach, and innovative approaches to science communication. Manuscript Evaluation: Review and assess submitted research manuscripts across computer science, electrical engineering, data science, machine learning, applied mathematics, and related fields, evaluating scientific significance, methodological rigor, originality, and the quality of results. Peer-Review Management: Coordinate the peer-review process, identify appropriate reviewers, communicate with authors, and ensure manuscripts progress efficiently through the editorial workflow while maintaining high scholarly standards. Author Support: Deliver an outstanding author experience by providing constructive feedback, communicating editorial decisions clearly, and guiding researchers through the publication process. Scientific Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with researchers, academic institutions, and scientific communities through proactive outreach, helping identify promising research and attract high-quality submissions. Research and Conference Outreach: Participate in scientific conferences, visit academic institutions, and engage with subject-matter experts to strengthen connections with the research community and increase the journal's visibility. Journal Development: Contribute to strategic planning, editorial initiatives, and long-term journal development, supporting the publication of impactful interdisciplinary research. Editorial Collaboration: Build effective working relationships with colleagues across editorial and publishing teams, sharing expertise and contributing to broader initiatives that improve scientific communication. Scientific Innovation: Stay informed about emerging research trends, new methodologies, and developments in relevant scientific disciplines to support informed editorial assessments and the journal's continued growth. Requirements: A PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Information Science, or a closely related discipline. Relevant research experience, a strong academic background, and a track record of peer-reviewed publications demonstrating scientific expertise and research contributions. Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in coding, algorithm development, engineering principles, analytical methods, or other relevant computational and quantitative techniques. Broad scientific curiosity and the ability to critically evaluate research quality, originality, methodology, significance, and potential impact across relevant fields. Excellent critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, combined with a willingness to learn about emerging research areas and interdisciplinary developments. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with authors, reviewers, researchers, and colleagues from diverse scientific backgrounds. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, including a collaborative approach to problem-solving and the ability to build professional relationships within the scientific community. The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and contribute effectively within a diverse, internationally distributed team. A genuine interest in scholarly publishing, research dissemination, scientific communication, and engagement with the global academic community. Previous editorial experience or a strong understanding of academic publishing workflows is an advantage but is not essential.
