The American University in Cairo offers graduate support grants for thesis research, conference participation and exchange or study-abroad activity. Research grants may support supplies, services, purchased data, publishing costs, eligible travel, and approved minor equipment or software. Exchange or study-abroad grants may assist with airfare and living expenses for up to one semester at an institution whose credits can transfer to AUC.
Eligibility requirements
All enrolled AUC graduate students may apply. MA and MSc students may receive up to one research grant and one study-abroad grant per study period, with conference-grant limits stated by AUC. PhD students may receive up to three grants per study period, two of which must be conference grants. Recent graduates may apply only when presenting results from their graduate thesis at a recognized professional conference.
